Venue - almost decided?

Helloooooo....
So I've think we've pretty much decided on Erskine as a venue. Been sent their info pack and details.

Before we sign up though, I wonder if someone might be able to go and check it out properly, have a meet with the events lady? I know that you (Lydia) know someone who had their wedding there, and I've seen some photos of other weddings (they put the photos up in the public, not me...). But it would be good to actually go and see it, have a look at it from our wedding point of view. I might ask Mum, but she seems to be quite busy at the moment. So, if anyone is free/keen/has an opinion, let me know? I'll try find my list of questions/thoughts/things to look out for and pass it on...

On another note, bought some cheap whiteboards off Catchoftheday and finally arrived - yay! Means I can plan and re-plan all I want all over the walls (they're sticky and removeable :D)...

That's all for now.

*love love love love love*

  1. Like Erskine a lot from the website :)

If you can't find anyone to have a look for you I will be free after profs to do it but we're pretty flat out in class atm. My April is ridiculously open but it's miles away so I don't know if you want it done sooner but let me know later if you need me ok?

  2. I like Erksine too. Do want to have someone check it out in person, the photos are nice but...

I'll probably wait to see when Mum is free (she's no doubt the hardest person to pin down) and then see who else can make it around then?
Obviously still need to finalise a budget before we can decide on anything, and that will have to wait until we can see Grant's job is going and how much we can save.

  3. Hey love,

Sorry haven't commented on anything. Haven't had internet since moving a couple of weeks ago. That was my favourite venue of the ones you picked up (as long as those creepy girls don't come as part of the package :P)

  5. Hey! Erskine is epic-ly amazing :)

Have now been to two weddings there, both were gorgeous.

The chapel itself is beautiful, big, open, light, etc (just make sure everyone has a mic as sound can get trapped somehow leading to everyone from the middly row down hearing nothing)

There is a garden area you can let guests mingle in while they are served drinks etc and the hall is A+ for the reception - the bonus that people don't have to go to a second location

Anyway, look out for Jo putting photos up on fb soon as Dean n Sarah just got married there...

    xx
